What are Others Saying about Wisdom Way Martial Arts?
|
We here at Wisdom Way Martial Arts honestly believe that we offer the you best value and the greatest martial arts experience available. But, please, don't take our word for it, Here is what others are saying about our school and our programs:
"While karate is on some levels an individual sport, at Wisdom Way each and every student is supportive of one another and works together as a team to help each other accomplish his/her goals. Unlike "traditional sports" such as soccer and baseball there are not parents on the sidelines shouting and yelling. The parents are supportive in a unobtrusive manner which encourages each chid to do his or her best. It is competitive in that it encourages children to do their best and reach their full potential but not in a win/loose manner. Strong emphasis on sportsmanship and supporting fellow classmates helps students learn to respect each other and work together in a collaborative manner. The mental and physical discipline that fosters respect for oneself, independence and pride in accomplishments and reaching goals has been tremendously beneficial for both of my sons." - Katharine Page, Pelham, NY
"We initially enrolled our son at Widsom Way because it was the only school in the area, at that point in time, that took three year olds. Now four years later, we are still part of the Wisdom Way family and couldn't be happier. The program has improved our son's balance, coordination and confidence. In addition, it has had a positive impact on our son socially. We are forever grateful to Kyosah Campo for playing such an important role in our son's development." - Dawn & Dave Milanese, Pelham, NY
Since I have taught, trained, and had my children at another good martial arts school in the area, I feel that my opinion of Wisdom Way offers a unique perspective. The truth is there are other good schools out there, perhaps even great ones, but I feel like at Wisdom Way, my children train at the best school. I know my children are not just another drop in the bucket; I know my children's individual needs are acknowledged and are being met. Because of this, and so much more, I am given more than just a "my child is happy here, so I am happy" mentality. When most parents are asked why they are interested in martial arts for their child, you will hear responses such as discipline, self-esteem, confidence, exercise, and for them to know how to defend themselves. Yet, surprisingly, most schools who say they offer those things don't. They teach kicks, punches, and techniques and promote kids to new belts every so often, but their primary concern is to make money... keep people happy and they will come back and keep paying. But the problem with this is that they keep people happy at the sacrifice of quality training. At Wisdom Way, things are different. It is a different mentality. The primary goal is to teach, and to teach well, and in doing that people will be happy. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in your child's training. If you are looking for a babysitting service, or for your child to become a black belt in a year or two, than look elsewhere. If you are looking for a quality school where your child can become more than "the best that they can be" in a safe, disciplined yet still fun way, then the Wisdom Way Family is right for you. - The Ryan's, Pelham, NY
"(I like Wisdom Way Martial Arts) because it's fun, I want to get stronger, and a real life situation might be rare, but it could happen. If it does I'll know how to defend myself." - Wesley Pedone, Pelham, NY
"My son, Ryan, started at Wisdom Way as a 4 1/2 year old in June of 2006. For the first few months, he was sometimes reluctant to go to class and his attention span during the class occasionally showed a lack of total focus and commitment. Now, 1 1/2 years later, he is a yellow belt who recently won the student of the year award for the Little Ninjas program and is completely devoted to Martial Arts. He attends class three times a week and is reluctant to miss a single day. His focus has improved dramatically both in class and in his everyday life. As a parent, I am proud of the way he has grown in the class and will continue to support his passion for Wisdom Way Martial Arts." - Elaine Chang, Pelham, NY
"I only wish every aspect of Rishi's life were as developmentally rich, as much fun, and as thoroughly rewarding as his time at Wisdom Way." - Archan Basu, Pelham, NY
"When we looked around at different karate places, we took into consideration cost, location, and program, unfortunately in that order. How fortunate we were to stumble across your school! I just wanted to let you know that we appreciate your loyalty to your kids, your diplomacy in dealing with them, and the skills that you are teaching them. Xavier loves coming to karate and truly enjoys what he’s learning, evidenced by the fact that he pays attention to you for an entire 30 minutes! Without a doubt, Xavier's baby sister, Claudia, will be a part of the Wisdom Way family as soon as she reaches the age requirement!" - Casey DelliCarpini, New Rochelle, NY
